Well you guys sing really good! – Before we go any further tonight I’d like you folks to meet my friends up here. It pleases me more than I can tell you that the relationship I have with these guys is that of friends – “Hi, Pokey[1], how ya doin’ tonight”... On electric and acustic guitar, pedal steel guitar and weird slide dobro guitar, from Aspen, Colorado... Steve Weisberg. Also on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, from Aspen, Colorado, Mr John Sommers. My good friend on the bass fiddle, from New York City, Mr. Dick Kniss. On the drums, one of the finest in the world in my opinion, also from New York, Mr. Herb Lovell. From Los Angeles, one of the finest in the world in percussion... Mr Hal Blaine. It gives me a great deal of pleasure to introduce to you our arranger, and conductor – a gentleman that I think is simply a genious, Mr Lee Holdridge in the orchestra.
