We are ready to celebrate the fifth Spanish meeting of "John Denver Friends". It will take place in the town of  La Llacuna (Barcelona), from 14th to 17th August 2008. We have selected the Rural Hotel "Cal Americano" as "base camp" for the event.

La Llacuna  is a town of about 900 inhabitants located in the Anoia comarca. It is an ancient fortified town which still holds remains of its medieval past. It is a very peaceful, picturesque town, sorrounded by forests where several fountains provide excuses for short walks. Nearby points of interest are Montserrat, Capellades (Museu Molí Paperer or Vilafranca del Penedés (Museu del Vi).

Cal Americano is a traditional, family owned restaurant which recently has  expanded  to a very confortable Rural Hotel. It offers accomodation in double rooms distributed in one and two bedroom appartments. The restaurant offers a very interesting menu, which will be available for the meeting. We have selected this accomodation option for its size, which would likely hold all the participants in the meeting, and its good ratio quality vs. price.

In La Llacuna there are other rural accomodations  (Arcs La Llacuna, Masia Rural Cal Grapissó y ARI Cal Morcaire) and one camping (Camping Vilademàger). If somebody prefers an alternative accommodation, meals can still be enjoyed with the group in Cal Americano.

 

Activities:
 

On August 16th will take place a 'sing-along' open to the public in the little town of Cases Noves de Can Pardo. The remaining time is left 'open' for activities to be decided as we go.

Adults: 240 Euro
Childred (under 12): 120 Euro
Baby in cot: free

This price includes three days full board (except for 1 dinner the sing-along evening). Lunch is 'a la carte' and beverages are included.
